NKU CENTER OF CHOICE FOR CANDIDATES

Following the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), which is a long and exhausting test marathon, a large number of candidates preferred the undergraduate and associate degree programs of our university as a result and joined Namık Kemal University family in Tekirdağ.

After the announcement of the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University became an attractive center of preference for many students.

According to the results of YKS 2018, our university was chosen by 5 thousand 245 new students. In 2017-2018 academic year, NKU with the number of  35 thousand 95 students will reach around 36 thousand in 2018-2019 academic year.

According to the results of the ÖSYS, the number of candidates who had the right to enroll in a program in NKU has been announced recently. The number of students settling in undergraduate programs is 2 thousand 302, while the number of students settling in associate degree programs is 2 thousand 943, and  the number of students in doctoral programs has increased to 293, while the number of students settling in master's programs has increased to 2 thousand 396. 4 thousand 673 students settled in the first education while 572 students preferred to study in secondary education at our university.

Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine have reached 100% occupancy rate. Faculty of Arts and Sciences followed them with 98% and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and  Corlu Engineering Faculty with %85 and with 63%  Agricultural Faculty followed.

Çerkezköy Vocational High School and Health Services Vocational School have reached a rate of 100 percent.

On the other hand, School of Health has also reached 100% occupancy rate.

Prof. Dr. OsmanŞimşek stated thatTekirdağ Namık Kemal University's strong academic staff with international experience, technical infrastructure adapting to the requirements of the era that can be continuously developed, providing abroad experiences as well as creating a bright future for our nation's young people by offering high-quality facilities.
